Call for applications for the translator’s residency is now open.

The call for the first residency program for translators in Krakow, UNESCO City of Literature, is now open. We invite you to Krakow for monthly stays in June. The deadline for applications is May the 4th, 2021.

The program is dedicated to translators of literature into Polish who have at least one book published and are currently working on a translation project. In addition to accommodation and reimbursement of travel costs, participants will also receive a gross remuneration of PLN 2,000.

The residency aims to support translators by providing them with convenient conditions for creative work for 30 days. In addition, during the residency, the Krakow UNESCO City of Literature team will be ready to help to establish new environmental and industry contacts and network the resident with the local literary sector.
