ALCA Residency in Chalet Mauriac NEW AQUITAINE

Literary residency programme located in the Saint-Symphorien in New Aquitaine.
The cultural institution ALCA offers a residency at Chalet Mauriac, the family home of the famous French poet François Mauriac.

Call for applications until 7 May 2021.

The institution organises 3 types of residency stays:

– for translators of French-language literature: 6 weeks, from 28 February to 8 April 2022.

– for French or francophone writers:

• youth literary residency, two dates to choose from:
  – 8 weeks, from 13 June to 5 August 2022.
  – 8 weeks, from 5 September to 28 October 2022
• comics residency, two dates to choose from:
  – 8 weeks, from 13 June to 5 August 2022.
  – 8 weeks, from 5 September to 28 October 2022
• residency for authors of novels, short stories, poetry, two dates to choose from:
  – 8 weeks, from 13 June to 5 August 2022
  – 8 weeks, from 5 September to 28 October 2022
• Periliterary Creation Residence: three dates to choose from:
  – 2 weeks, 11 to 22 April 2022
  – 2 weeks, from 9 to 20 May 2022
  – 2 weeks, from 25 July to 5 August 2022

– intermedia residency for French or francophone artists combining literary art with audiovisual and/or cinematic art: 4 weeks, from 13 June to 8 July 2022.
