RESULTS OF AN OPEN CALL FOR LITERARY RESIDENCIES IN THE FIRST HALF OF 2025
The jury: Paulina Ciucka (STL), Anna Fryczkowska (SUL) and Diana Krawiec (SDK, jury secretary) selected the following people to participate in the literary residencies in Warsaw for writers, playwrights and translators from Belarus and Ukraine:
Yana Alekseenko (BY) - playwright, director, curator of social projects; during the residency she will work on a drama about the tension between motherhood and artistic work;
Anna Gruver (UA) - writer, poet, essayist and translator; during the residency, she will be translating a volume of poems by Magdalena Bielska "A Guide for the Recently Deceased";
Artur Kamarouski (BY) - writer, poet, translator; during the residency, he will be working on refining a volume of poetry about the metaphor of the body as a home;
Artur Klinau (BY) - writer, editor, photographer, animator of literary events; during the residency, he will collect materials for a text about Belarusian independent art from the 1990s in Poland and Belarus;
Anastasiia Kosodii (UA) - playwright, director, co-founder of the Playwrights' Theater in Kiev; during the residency, she will collect materials for a drama about autism among adults;
Natalya Mykhalko (UA) - researcher, writer, philosopher and bioethicist; during the residency she will work on an experimental prose - an "obituary" of the war in Ukraine;
Olga Voloshkina (BY) - researcher, author of essays, novels and plays; During the residency, she will work on a novel - a political thriller with elements of a mockumentary about the events in Belarus in 1987 and 2022.
