Approximately 60 Fellowships – or residencies – are awarded to artists and scholars in the various disciplines of the Arts and Humanities (Archaeology, Architecture, Classics, Dance, Film/Video, History, Landscape Architecture, Literature, Music, Philosophy, Public Humanities, Theater, and Visual Arts) per year. Fellowship is not a cash prize, but residents are provided with living quarters, a work space, and full board for a month at the Study Center in Bogliasco, Italy. The Bogliasco Foundation does not offer training or courses.
Residencies at the Bogliasco Study Center last 31 or 32 days and are scheduled during the two semesters of the academic year: Fall (mid-September to the third week of December) and Spring (Early January to the third week of May).
Online application is now open for residencies during Spring 2025.
Regular deadline: March 7, 2024 ($30 application fee)
Extended deadline: March 14, 2024 ($45 application fee)
Registration will close on March 13th, 11:59pm ET. Applicants will be notified of the results by email on or around June 14, 2024.
Applicants for Fall 2024 will be notified of the results by email around March 1, 2024.
