Conrad Award residency

The Conrad Award, awarded for the best debut of the past year, is part of the municipal program to support Krakow’s UNESCO City of Literature debuts and is a joint project of the City of Krakow, the Krakow Festival Office, the Book Institute, and the Tygodnik Powszechny Foundation.

 

In addition to the statuette and cash prize, the winner receives a month-long residency in Krakow, in the guest rooms of the Book Institute.

 

The laureates of the Conrad Prize so far include: Liliana Hermetz for the book “Alicyjka” (Nisza 2015), Żanna Słoniowska for the book “Dom z witrażem” (Znak Literanova 2016), Anna Cieplak for the book “Ma być czysto” (Krytyka Polityczna 2017), Weronika Gogola for “Po trochu” (Książkowe Klimaty 2018) and Olga Hund for “Psy ras drobnych” (Korporacja Ha! Art 2019).
