Villa Albertine | General Call for Applications | 2027 Residencies

Villa Albertine invites artists and thinkers to apply for its 2027 residency programme in the United States. The application deadline is January 29, 2026.

The programme offers research-oriented residencies for creators from a wide range of disciplines, including visual and performing arts, music, architecture, as well as literature, non-fiction writing, and comics. Residencies last from one to three months and take place in one or multiple U.S. locations.

Participants are encouraged to develop projects rooted in immersion and engagement with the social, cultural, or intellectual context of the United States. The programme does not focus on production, but instead provides time, space, and opportunities for research, encounters, and exchange, fostering new ideas, collaborations, and dialogue between France and the United States.

Villa Albertine is an institution of the French Embassy in the United States and operates in ten cities across the country.
