Elena Vasilyeva

Elena Vasilyeva is a Belarusian journalist and writer originally from Polotsk, the oldest city in Belarus, and now living in Poland.

She graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at Belarusian State University, where she researched the image of Belarus in international media as part of her master’s thesis.

As a journalist, Elena works primarily with narrative reportage, while her literary writing explores the genre of magical realism. Her first novella, Homer and Eve, was published by Januskevic Publisher in 2019.
