LITERARY RESIDENCIES IN WARSAW FOR WRITERS, PLAYWRITERS AND TRANSLATORS FROM BELARUS AND UKRAINE

Ukrainian writer, historian, and screenwriter. He writes on historical topics for BBC News Ukraine, Tygodnik Powszechny, the magazine Kraków i Świat, and the Nowa Polska portal (novapolshcha.pl). He has also been published in Focus Historia, Focus Historia Ekstra, Polityka, on the Culture.pl portal, and elsewhere.

 

He is from Kyiv (Ukraine) and lives in Krakow. He is the author/co-author of 14 books published in Ukraine (fiction). In 2024, the Księży Młyn Publishing House published his book “Only in Lviv: Tońko, Szczepko, and All the Others” about the most famous humorous duo in pre-war Poland (together with Oleg Chorny).

 

He is a member of the Ukrainian Film Academy and the Association of European Journalists. He has written over 30 scripts for feature-length documentaries. He is a recipient of the Kyiv Artistic Award for Cinematography.
