AiR Goyki 3 Art Inkubator

Sopot

The residencies taking place in AiR Goyka 3 of the Sopot Art Incubator are addressed to a wide group of artists. Polish and foreign artists in the field of visual arts, literature, performing arts, music, as well as people involved in the popularization of science are invited to the dialogue. The invited artists can count on support for their activities in the space of the Art Incubator. They will receive, among others accommodation and curator’s support.

The residency supports well-thought-out activities, research-focused projects that take into account the place of their implementation, i.e. Sopot and the space of the Art Incubator, and those that involve building relationships with people and the environment. Inviting artists from the border of various fields to residencies gives the opportunity to network environments, cooperate and achieve results in the form of multidisciplinary projects.

Artists could choose one of two residency options:

The first is a stay from April 6 to June 6, 2021, with the possibility of accommodation in Sopot for the duration of the residence, a studio to work in the temporary headquarters of Goyki 3, curatorial care during the residence, and networking with the local art scene.

The second option is a residence on September 6-November 6, 2021, assuming a scholarship of PLN 8,000 gross, a studio to work in the Goyki 3 villa, curatorial care during the residence, and networking with the local art scene. As part of the open call process, two residents will be selected for the first season and two for the second season.

The duration of the residence is two months. During this time, residents are required to stay and pursue artistic activities in Sopot. They will be required to organize at least one meeting open to the public, referring to their artistic work.

In 2021, as part of the first AiR Goyki 3 residency program, four resident artists will be in residence: Ada Rączka and Simone Karl in the field of visual arts and Zyta Rudzka and Paola Pilnik in the field of literature.

Call for 2022 is closed now.
