LITERARY RESIDENCIES IN WARSAW FOR WRITERS, PLAYWRITERS AND TRANSLATORS FROM BELARUS AND UKRAINE 2024
Born in 1970. In 1994 he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of the Belarusian State University (BSU). He worked as a correspondent in the editorial offices of Belarusian newspapers and magazines. In 1998, he graduated from the graduate school of BSU, defended his dissertation on the topic Integration processes of Europe on the threshold of the 21st century and the press of the Republic of Belarus. In 1999–2023, he taught world literature and foreign journalism at the Faculty of Journalism of BSU. In 2023 he moved to Poland, lives and works in the city of Olsztyn.
Since 1988, he has published 14 novellas and over 60 short stories in Belarusian periodicals. Author of 8 books of fiction, 9 scripts for documentary films, 7 dramatic plays and 2 radio plays. Laureate of the National Literary Prize of Belarus for Drama (2016).
