Filip Zawada – born 1975 in Wrocław, where he still lives. Author of the poetry books System jedynkowy (1997), Bóg Aldehyd [God Aldehyde] (1998), Snajper [Sniper] (2004), Świetne sowy [Great Owls] (2013), Trzy ścieżki nad jedną rzeką sumują się [Three paths over one river sum up] (2014, Silesius Poetry Award nomination) and Nie wiem, jak nazywają się te kwiaty [I don’t know what these flowers are called] (2017). He was nominated for the Gdynia Literary Prize for his books Psy pociągowe [Train Dogs] (2011) and Pod słońce było (2014). In 2021, his novel Zbyt wiele zim minęło, żeby była wiosna was published and it was named one of the top ten books of the year by  „Książki” magazine. Winner of the President of Wrocław scholarship.
