LITERARY RESIDENCIES IN WARSAW FOR WRITERS, PLAYWRITERS AND TRANSLATORS FROM BELARUS AND UKRAINE | 2023

Iryna Zahladko is a Czech-Ukrainian writer, translator, the author of two poetry books: artbook Sobache Oko [Dog’s Eye], 2015 and Lement i lehit [Wail and breeze], 2018.  

In 2017 he received the Smoloskyp Poetry Award – the most popular and prestigious award for young writers in Ukraine. During the last decade is presented on the art scene as an independent curator, performer, participant of several artistic collaborations. She is a co-creator of the independent magazine Sezóna 

Studied theoretical physics. Calls the literature her work. Is a feminist.  

Has been living in Prague since 2019. Her first poetry book in Czech Tváření [Shaping] is expected to appear in 2023. 

Iryna Zahladko is fascinated by all the slavic languages and feel herself deeply connected with them.
