LITERARY RESIDENCIES IN WARSAW FOR WRITERS, PLAYWRITERS AND TRANSLATORS FROM BELARUS AND UKRAINE

Born in 1968, journalist, editor, translator from Polish, Lithuanian, Russian, Belarusian, English. She won an award from the Polish Embassy in Lviv for her translation of Prus’s short story, and was nominated for the Maksim Rylsky Prize for her translations of Gombrowicz and Herbert. From polish he has translated Hłasko, Izabela Sowa, Lem, Białoszewski, Masłowska, Tokarczuk, Osiecka, Iwaszkiewicz, Huelle, dramas by e.g. Masłowska, Pakuła, Zyta Rudzka, Janusz Głowacki, Magda Fertacz, Malina Prześluga and Julia Holewińska.

During the residency she will be working on a translation of Sławomir Mrożek’s Tango into Ukrainian.
