LITERARY RESIDENCIES IN WARSAW FOR WRITERS, PLAYWRITERS AND TRANSLATORS FROM BELARUS AND UKRAINE 2024

Poet, prose writer, and literary critic. She was born on October 15, 1969 in the city of Zaleshchytskyi in the Ternopil Oblast. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Philology of the National Pedagogical University. Volodymyr Hnatyuk in Ternopil. She completed postgraduate studies at the T. H. Shevchenko Institute of Literature of the UAN, and defended her doctoral thesis in the history of literature in 2008. She worked at the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and at the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”. 

 

She is the author of three books: “Nioba” (poetic book, 2018, Kyiv: Smołoskyp, 144 pp.); “Nie Ewa” (collection of poems, 2017, Kiev: Smołoskyp, 136 pp.); “Winter Dialogues” (stories in poems, 2012, Kiev: Ukrainian Priority, 48 pp.). She published literary articles in scientific journals and a fragment of the novel “Olga” on the literary portal “Posestry” in Poland. 

 

Larysa Lebedivna was a two-time research fellow of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Sciences (Institute of Slavic Studies of the National Academy of Sciences in Warsaw) in 2022. She also held a literary residency in Poland three times in 2022 and 2023 (Institute of Literature in Krakow) and a literary residency in Belgrade in Serbia (Spaces of Resilience with the support of the European Cultural Foundation – Amsterdam) in 2024. 

 

The writer took part in poetry readings with the support of the Institute of Literature in Krakow (Poland) in 2023 and with the support of the European Cultural Foundation Krokodil in Belgrade (Serbia) in 2024. She also participated in the international program of the literary festival as a poet from the independent Krokodil association in Belgrade in 2024.
