Maryna Shoda (born in 1973 in Pruzhany, Belarus) graduated in philology at the Belarusian University in Minsk. Scientific specialization: lecturer in mythology, history of literature and culture, theory and methodology of literary research.

In 2000-2005 she participated in the International School of Translators “Translatorium”, in 2012-2016 she participated in meetings and workshops of the International Translation Seminar “Translators without Borders”. In 2015, she was awarded the Internet-magazine Prajdzisś Prize for translating Paweł Huelle’s story Weiser Dawidek. In 2019, she defended her doctoral thesis entitled The Myth in the Creative System of William Butler Yeats.
